A single pearl necklace is the quietest thing in a jewelry box and the one that gets worn the most. Ours is a real freshwater pearl, grown in a mussel, about 8 mm and slightly oval the way real ones are. Not glass, not plastic, not a shell bead. The photos show it at that size.
Two of these in one box is the gift a mother and a daughter, or two sisters, actually wear together. Each necklace has its own chain color, so one gold and one silver is fine. $59 for the pair, with the card.
On most pearl necklaces the pearl outlives the chain. Ours is 316L steel under a PVD gold or silver finish with a lobster clasp on a 2 inch extender. It does not fade in the shower and it does not leave a green mark. If it ever does, you get a new one for life.
